People Evacuated at Pearson Airport After Fuel Truck Hits Airplane

People were recently evacuated at Pearson Airport after a fuel truck came into contact with an airplane.

According to the Toronto Pearson Airport, just after 1:30 a.m. today (May 10) an Air Canada Jazz aircraft came into contact with a Menzies fuel truck.

Airport emergency services responded to the incident, and passengers and crew evacuated safely to terminal one.

The aircraft and vehicle were removed and there was no operational impact at the airport.

It is unknown whether there were any injuries.

UPDATE: There were reports of five minor injuries. According to Peel Police, two passengers were injured as a result of this incident, along with the co-pilot, the pilot, and a flight attendant.
