Outdoor movie lovers rejoice, the 5 Drive-in Oakville is reopening this Friday.

Closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic provincial restrictions, the popular drive-in owned by Premier Theatres announced its return on its FACEBOOK page.

First up Friday night on screen one at 9:25 p.m. is the horror sequel A Quiet Place Part II.

“We have an amazing lineup of movies coming your way this weekend,” the Facebook post said.

Public safety measures will be in place. Premier Theatres encourages movie goers to wear a face covering while outside your vehicle and use the available hand cleaning products provided at the concession and washrooms.

Customers are also asked to take note of the following temporary changes that are now required:

  • Purchase your tickets online and at the box office (debit or credit)
  • Pets are allowed at the drive-in, please try and keep them within the car unless is walk time
  • Stay in your vehicle EXCEPT to visit the concession or washrooms.
  • Keep six feet apart from others while outside your vehicle.
  • Avoid using the play areas (e.g. play structures, volleyball court, and Dog Park).

These public safety measures will remain until the province determines the COVID-19 pandemic is no longer a threat in the area.

The Box Office will be open at 6:30 p.m. on Friday to Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday to Thursday. For a full lineup of showtimes, go to www.premiertheatres.ca/5drivein.
