Oakville’s Oksana Boodoo is now a millionaire.
That’s because the 60-year-old has won the guaranteed $1 million in the Lotto 6/49 draw.
Boodoo has been playing the same numbers for several years, but still surprised when they hit.
“I had to check a few times, I was in disbelief,” she said. “I cried.”

She told her husband the good news and he didn’t believe her. “He said, ‘No you didn’t’,’ and then he checked for himself on the OLG Lottery app.”
Before discovering her big win, the bank employee had plans to retire in November. She plans to use her winnings to pay some bills and help her family.
The winning ticket was purchased at Petro Canada on Dundas Street in Oakville.
The ticket was from the April 25 draw.
