Oakville Man Charged With Attempted Murder

An Oakville man is facing 10 charges -including attempted murder- following a shooting in downtown Toronto.
An Oakville man is facing 10 charges -including attempted murder- following a shooting in downtown Toronto.
Shots were fired on June 15 at 2:50 a.m. in the King St. W. and Portland St. area, say Toronto police.
A gun was discharged twice at a large crowd of people, investigators allege.
There were no injuries.
A pair of suspects fled on foot, northbound on Portland St. and west on Adelaide St. W. before getting into a black four-door sedan with dark-tinted windows.
One of the men was arrested on June 16.
Jefferson Morgan, 29, is charged with: uttering death threats; attempt murder; point firearm; discharge firearm with intent to wound or kill; possess firearm other than restricted or prohibited firearm without holding a licence; possess firearm other than restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a licence; possess weapon dangerous to public peace; carry concealed weapon; possess firearm while prohibited; breach of probation.
Investigators are looking for a second man who was with the accused.
He’s described as standing about 5-foot-6 with short, dark hair that’s thinner on the sides, clean-shaven, with thick eyebrows.
He was last seen wearing a dark jacket, jeans, two-tone sneakers, and carrying a dark satchel across his body.
