They’re some of brightest students in Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Halton Hills and they’re being recognized for their academic achievements.

On Monday, the Halton Catholic District School Board announced the recipients of this year’s Governor General Bronze Medal winners.

The medal, which has recognized the academic achievements of students across Canada for over 130 years, is awarded to the graduating student with the highest average from each HCDSB secondary school.

Each student’s average is calculated based on their final marks in all Grade 11 and 12 courses listed on their official transcript, issued by the Ministry of Education.

“The recipients of the Governor General award have demonstrated ongoing dedication and commitment to academic excellence,” said Pat Daly, HCDSB Director of Education.

We wish our students continued success as they embark on their post-secondary journey and fulfill their God-given potential.”
