A new trendy, and Instagram worthy, ice cream shop is opening in Halton Hills soon – just in time for summer.
A new trendy, and Instagram worthy, ice cream shop is opening in Halton Hills soon – just in time for summer.
WHIMSY Street Treats Inc., which will be located at 90 Main St. S., in Georgetown, will officially be open as of June 8, 2019.
And Sabrina Macchione, the owner of the ice cream shop, said WHIMSY will provide its customers with a variety of ice cream options.
“Of course, you’ll find a lot of soft serve ice cream (both dairy and vegan flavours) but we’ll [also] have some really neat Instagram worthy specialties such as colourful ice cream donut sandwiches, stuffed soft serve cones and even Belgian waffle creations,” Macchione said.

Macchione also explained why she decided to open the ice cream shop.
“I wanted to create a unique over the top ice cream experience for the Halton Hills community,” Macchione said. “Whimsy is a celebration of urban culture through dessert, drink, art, and sound.”
WHIMSY will be open from Sunday to Thursday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., and from Friday to Saturday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
When it comes to what the shop will look like, Macchione has noted that the interior of WHIMSY will be a Pinterest dream.
But what exactly does this mean?
“Think massive pink marble walls and whimsical painted wall murals,” Macchione said.
However, the interior isn’t the only thing that will set WHIMSY apart from other ice cream shops around.
“We’re not afraid to push the limits when it comes to ice cream creations,” Macchione said. “We want to keep things fresh and you just never know what we will introduce next!”
