The Town of Milton is currently seeking community feedback for the development of a new park.

Cobban Neighbourhood Park, which is 3.7 acres in size, is located at 840 Whitlock Ave., south of Louis St. Laurent Boulevard and west of Thompson Road.

This neighbourhood-level park is adjacent to the future Halton Catholic District School Board Elementary School #10 to the east and a woodlot, which is associated with the Sixteen Mile Creek watershed, to the west.

Typical amenities for these parks include an active sports facility, naturalized areas, maintained activity areas, play areas with playground equipment, a spray pad and more.

“We’re excited to develop a new neighbourhood park with you and your family in mind,” reads the Town of Milton’s website.

“Local parks are shared spaces for the community to get active, recreate, socialize and connect with nature. They are places built for the community, with the community in mind.”

Construction for this project is forecasted to begin in spring 2022 and be completed in the fall of 2022, subject to Council’s approval of the proposed 2022 capital budget.
