Sanctioned sporting activities are being shut down in Milton in response to growing numbers of COVID-19.
Effective immediately, all indoor fitness classes have been cancelled.
As well, all games for team sports will not be allowed to take place. Further, teams will not be allowed to scrimmage. Teams will only be allowed to train where proper physical distancing can be maintained.
The move follows the advice of Halton Public Health which is monitoring emerging evidence of the heightened risk of COVID-19 through indoor activities and contact sports.
