A protest organized by a family group will take place in Georgetown today (Jan. 20) to take action against care levels in long-term care homes.

The protest will be held at Extendicare Halton Hills, located at 9 Lindsay Ct.

Organizers say they will be protesting due to the COVID-19 outbreak at this home as well as the inaction from the provincial government to improve long-term care.

While this protest will take place in-person, organizers say that they will follow lockdown rules, including groups of five, with social distancing and masks.
The protest will be taking place at 12:30 pm.
