IF YOU’RE NOT ON THE LIST

Starting on Sept. 4, you must apply to the city clerk if you want to add your name to the voters’ list or correct your information. If your name is not on the list or your information is incorrect, you can complete an Application to Amend the Voters’ List form.

This can be done at Burlington City Hall any time up to Oct. 19, and on voting day.

Forms are available in the Clerks Department, first floor, Burlington City Hall, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., or at the voting location on voting day.

Forms must be completed in-person and identification is required:

to amend/correct information on the voters’ list, identification showing your qualifying Burlington address is required.
To add your name to the voters’ list, identification showing your qualifying Burlington address AND identification showing your citizenship (passport, birth certificate) is required.

For details, visit burlington.ca/elections, email [email protected] or call 905-335-7600, ext. 7481.

Note: You may add your name to the list when you go vote if you are a qualified elector and are able to present the required identification, BUT we encourage voters to complete this process before voting day to avoid delays or long waiting times at the voting locations.
