Science is about to get much more fun and musical in Halton.

Education Arts Canada’s live musical production, ‘Isaac Newton’s Excellent Adventure,’ is coming to elementary schools in Halton as part of a partnership between the Ontario Trillium Foundation and the Ontario Science Centre to create educational live performances for students called “Science Jam.”

“Isaac Newton’s Excellent Adventure” is the first production within our new ‘Science Jam’ series of live musical performances, helping to bring science learning to schools in a fresh, fun and dynamic way,” Education Arts Canada Co-Founder/CEO and Juno Award-Winner, David Gershon, said in a news release.

“We’re thrilled about our new partnership with the Ontario Science Centre, which provided content consultation on this project, as Education Arts Canada continues to offer premium, curriculum-integrated, high-energy shows that both staff and students can enjoy. Plus, there are so many students who have too far to travel to the Science Centre so we thought why not bring the Science Centre to them instead?” he continued.

Science Jam is intended to teach young students about scientific areas such as biology, physics, chemistry through music.

Created by Gershon and his wife Judy Gershon, and written, directed, and produced by Bryn Kennedy, Science Jam is geared towards students in grades four to six, and combines live performances with resource materials for teachers to foster a more fun and creative learning atmosphere for students across Canada.
