It’s already Canada Day and there are tons of things to do across Burlington, Oakville, Milton, and Halton Hills. We’ve rounded up the main events for your convenience. Here’s what happening on July 1.

BURLINGTON

Canada Day celebrations

Time: Noon – 10 p.m.

Location: Spencer Smith Park

Details: There will be live performances, including opening ceremonies from the Burlington Teen Tour Band, fireworks, 5K run at 10 a.m., face- painting and balloons. 

Fireworks: 10 p.m.


OAKVILLE

Canada Day celebrations (evening only)

Time: 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Location: Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park

Details: Family activities, food trucks, music. Also, ending the night with a fireworks show over Lake Ontario

Fireworks: 10 p.m.


MILTON

Canada Day celebrations

Time: 11:30 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Location: Milton Fairgrounds

Details: Live music, live entertainment, diverse food choices, and activities for all ages.

Fireworks: 10 p.m. rain or shine


Veteran’s Breakfast & Parade

Time: 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Location: Victoria Park at Town Hall to Fairgrounds

Details: A breakfast for veterans to honour Canadian veterans followed by a parade to Milton Fairgrounds for other Canada Day festivities. (Cost: $4 for two pancakes and two breakfast sausages or back bacon on a bun plus coffee, orange juice or iced tea).
