A Toronto handyman is facing a slew of charges after allegedly bilking seniors in Oakville.

A Toronto handyman is facing a slew of charges after allegedly bilking seniors in Oakville.

The suspect was going door-to-door offering services and taking cash deposits for jobs such as eaves trough cleaning and chimney repair, Halton police allege following a seven-month investigation, “for the promised jobs which he failed to complete.”

The man generally targeted seniors, say police.

The suspect was arrested on Aug. 23.

Elwood Bowler, 54, is charged with nine counts of fraud under $5,000 and one count of fraud over $5,000.
