Halton residents are being warned of scams that have occurred in the region.

According to Halton Hills Hydro, scammers are targeting utility customers in the area and threatening disconnection.

Additionally, scammers have demanded immediate payment by pre-paid credit card, gift card or bitcoin.

Halton Hills Hydro is reminding the public never to give out personal information or agree to payment through these means.
