There’s going to be popcorn, Harry Potter, and for the first time, four food trucks … a fundraiser benefitting the Oakville Hospital Foundation is taking place on Friday night.

Food offerings include bites from Gotham Grill, Born2Eat (both trucks are serving up burgers, tacos, fries, etc.), Beaver Tails, and Kona Ice.

Proceeds from food truck sales will go to the hospital.

The event, held on July 7 at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex, is free.

Keep in mind, if it rains, the movie will be shown inside at Rink 1. Environment Canada is predicting a high of 27 C on Friday with a 40 per cent chance of showers.

You can make your way to 3070 Neyagawa Blvd. for 6 p.m.

That’s when the grounds open, food trucks start serving so you can get your eat on, and a DJ will be starting the party.

Flick-wise, Horton Hears a Who (the original short) will be playing at 7 p.m., followed by opening remarks and the big draw – Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (isn’t it the Sorcerer’s Stone? The event details say Philosopher) –  at 7:45 p.m.

Last call for food is at 8:45 p.m.

Remember to bring fold-up chairs, blankets, and dress for the weather. Dogs are allowed, too, if they’re on leashes.

Have fun, everyone!
