Extreme cold in the forecast for Halton

According to a recent Environment Canada forecast, temperatures are expected to drop to -16 tonight (Dec. 18) in Halton. With the windchill, it will feel more like -22.

Some flurries are also in the forecast for Halton. 

The day will be chilly as well, with temperatures sitting at -5.

The cold will persist, with temperatures hitting -8 on Thursday and dropping to -10 overnight. 

However, a little reprieve is on the way, as temperatures will start to inch up and hit 1 on Friday. 

Monday, Dec. 23 and Tuesday, Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve!) will be 5 degrees, so pretty pleasant. 

Tonight, be sure to keep your pets indoors and spend as little time outside as possible.
