COVID-19 outbreak declared at long-term care home in Oakville

Halton Public Health is reporting another outbreak at a long-term care home in the region.
An outbreak was declared on Wednesday, October 21 at Wyndham Manor Long Term Care Centre, located in Oakville.
The affected area of the home is the Palermo House.
At this time, public health hasn’t disclosed the number of confirmed positive cases for residents and staff in the home, as well as any potential deaths.
The outbreak is one of six currently active outbreaks that public health is reporting at institutions in the region.
A total of 35 outbreaks have been reported since the pandemic began.
