COVID-19 cases in Oakville, Burlington and Milton down substantially from a month ago

Daily COVID-19 cases across Ontario dipped below 600 Monday for the first time in eight months and the same downward trends continue in Oakville and across Halton Region.
Oakville reported just 22 daily active cases today, a substantially decline from the 240 active cases Oakville had back on May 6.
In Oakville, of the 5,564 total cases, of which 185 are probable, 5,475 have been resolved with 67 deceased. Total variant cases for June 7 are 1,770.
A total of 165 active cases were reported across Halton Region on June 7, down significantly from the 856 that were reported a month ago.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 17,717 total cases (597 are probable) with 17,323 resolved and 229 deceased. Number of variant cases in Halton totalled 5,794.
In Burlington, there are 76 active cases. Of the 4,512 total cases, 4,378 were resolved. There have been 1,421 variant cases.

A total of 134 are probable cases. There have been 58 deaths.
Milton currently has 52 active cases and has had a total of 5,761 cases with 5,663 of those resolved since the pandemic began. There have been 2,012 variant cases. A total of 216 of the cases are probable, while 46 are deceased.
Halton Hills has just 15 active cases. They have had 1,880 total cases with 1,807 of those resolved and 58 deceased. There are currently 62 probable cases, with variant cases numbering 591.
With a downward trend continuing, the province announced it would move into Step 1 of the reopening plan on Friday.
