A new subdivision could be coming to the Town of Oakville in the future.

However, nothing is confirmed yet.

In mid-December of 2018, the town received a complete application from Oakville Green Developments Inc.

The application consists of a proposed plan for a subdivision as well as a zoning by-law amendment.

If approved, this would permit four 15-storey buildings set to feature a hotel, conference centre, medical office, retirement home, an employment use building with ground floor retail and underground parking that would use mechanical parking stackers.

According to the town’s website, cumulative floor area proposed is approximately 1,000,000 sq ft.

The location of this subdivision would be on the northeast corner of Dundas Street West and Third Line in the Town of Oakville.

The draft plan of the subdivision in question also, according to the Town of Oakville website, recommends that the land be divided into three blocks, and that the Glen Oak Stormwater Management Pond is reshaped, and that one new public road extending from the Hospital entrance along Third Line through the site to William Halton Parkway and one internal private road is provided.

Currently, there are no other applications, under the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13 relating to the subject lands.

A decision to approve or disapprove this proposal has not yet been made by the Town of Oakville.

Residents who want to be notified of the decision of the Town of Oakville regarding the proposed by-law amendment or the proposed subdivision are encouraged to make a written request to the Town Clerk at the Town of Oakville, Clerk’s department, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, ON L6H 0H3 or at [email protected]

For more information about this proposal , visit the Town’s development application page, or visit the Planning Services department between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, or contact:
