Construction is set to begin soon on the road rehabilitation program for Victoria St. and Elizabeth St. in Milton.

Work is scheduled to begin on June 21, 2021, at 7:00 a.m. and is expected to end by September 3, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. As a result, there will be a full road closure on Elizabeth St., from Victoria St. to 44 metres south of Victoria St.

This project will include pavement rehabilitation with isolated storm sewer work and concrete replacement where necessary.

Additionally, it’s possible that due to the nature of the work, the placement of top asphalt will occur next year in 2022.

During construction, residents are encouraged to plan their travels in advance, consider alternate routes, follow signage and be patient in and around construction areas.

This construction in Milton is essential for the town’s infrastructure to ensure it remains safe and in a state of good repair in order to be able to meet the community’s present and future needs.
