Construction begins for 700 new residences and townhomes in Oakville

Construction has begun on a new master-planned community in central Oakville by Distrikt and Fiera Real Estate.
The new community will offer a range of affordable luxury offerings in two spacious mid-rise condo buildings as well as several blocks of two-storey townhomes, designed by award-winning Kirkor Architect + Planners.
The project site is part of Distrikt’s $1 billion residential pipeline and is inspired by Oakville’s history, employment and outdoor lifestyle.
With 2,000 units in its Oakville pipeline, Trailside 2.0 is the second phase of Distrikt’s Trailside community, offering a range of spacious condominium and townhome units.
To date, the projects are over 80% pre-sold and the buildings have seen interest from both local buyers and from nearby Toronto.
“As Oakville maintains its position as one of the most ideal places to live in the GTA, we’re excited about the growth happening locally, particularly in Oakville’s designated areas for intensification. Until recently, Oakville has been largely overlooked by the multi-residential development industry,” said Distrikt co-founder Emil Toma.

Oakville Mayor Rob Burton was present for the groundbreaking ceremony, alongside founders of Distrikt Emil Toma and Paul Simcox, VP of Real Estate Marcus Boekelman and Director of Construction Leonard Scomparin.
Distrikt Trailside will offer a total of 700 residences and townhomes between both buildings.
All units come with standard 9 to 10 ft. ceilings and each building offers over 15,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor amenity space.
The buildings will feature a fitness studio and private terraces fully equipped for outdoor cooking.
All retail spaces have already been sold, proving out demand for the mixed-use potential.
The Trailside community is located in central Oakville on Dundas Street West within 5 km of the Oakville GO Station.
