According to the service’s official Twitter account, officers discovered a raccoon trapped in the engine of a vehicle that had been involved in a collision

“We’re happy to report officers were able to use their mechanic skills to free it and that it appeared to be okay,” tweeted Halton Police.

With cooler weather hitting the region, wildlife is adapting to keep warm. With their dexterous hands, long claws, and relentless persistence, raccoons are more than equipped to work their way under the hood of your vehicle.
