The town’s newest community centre and fire station are opening this fall.

The town’s newest community centre and fire station are opening this fall.

Trafalgar Park (formerly Oakville Arena) is being celebrated with a day of free family fun for all ages and abilities.

It’s taking place on Saturday, Sept. 22, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

What’s in store?

Free family recreation and culture drop-in activities plus tours of Trafalgar Park Community Centre.

You can also visit the Oakville Fire Station 3 heritage display at the fire hall.

Food trucks will be on site.

Activities are running all day:

10:30 a.m.

Free Skate Regulations

Helmets are strongly recommended. Hockey sticks, pucks and equipment are not permitted during the free skate. Skate and helmet rentals will be available at the facility during programming times. Skate and helmet rentals are first-come, first-serve. Quantities and sizes are limited. Skate and helmet rental rates apply.

Capacity restrictions apply. Commercial training or coaching is not permitted during an recreational skate program.


Stay for lunch:

A variety of food options will be available at the centre throughout the day. Food selection is subject to change. Some vendors accept cash only.


Take the bus:

Parking is limited. Residents are encouraged to take public transit to Trafalgar Park Community Centre for the event. For more information on Oakville Transit schedules and fares visit the Oakville Transit website.
