Two Suspects Charged Following Illegal Firearms Investigation in Burlington

Two suspects are facing charges following an illegal firearms investigation in Burlington.
Two suspects are facing charges following an illegal firearms investigation in Burlington.
On June 20, 2019, members of the Halton Regional Police Service – Drug and Human Trafficking Unit completed the investigation.
And, officers, along with the Tactical and Rescue Unit, arrested two people and executed three search warrants.
During the investigation officers found and seized a 9 mm handgun with the serial number removed and ammunition, a sawed off .22 caliber rifle and ammunition, cocaine, scales, drug packaging, and around $13,900 in cash.

As a result, the following suspects are facing a number of alleged charges.
Lennox Miller-Fields (25) of Burlington is charged with:
- Unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of restricted firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of prohibited firearm
- Possession of prohibited firearm with ammunition
- Possession of restricted firearm with ammunition
- Possession of firearm knowing its serial number has been defaced
- Possession of prohibited device
- Contravention of storage regulations
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking
Shaleta Daniels (29) of Burlington is charged with:
- Unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of restricted firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of prohibited firearm
- Possession of prohibited firearm with ammunition
- Possession of restricted firearm with ammunition
- Possession of firearm knowing its serial number has been defaced
- Possession of prohibited device
- Contravention of storage regulations
Both of the accused parties were held pending a bail hearing and will appear in court on June 21, 2019.
