Oakville Hydro and Burlington Hydro have issued separate warnings to residents about circulating scams.
Oakville Hydro say they’ve received reports about door-to-door visits from individuals misrepresenting themselves as Oakville Hydro staff.

Some Burlington Hydro customers, meanwhile, have reported that they’re receiving calls from individuals pretending to be Burlington Hydro employees who then threaten to cut-off the customers hydro unless a payment is made over the phone.

Both Halton hydro companies are reminding residents to remain vigilant and never disclose their credit card information over-the-phone or at their door.
