Plenty of food, libations, and fun are in store as the Georgetown Rib & Craft Beer Fest kicks off on Aug. 18.

It’s part of the Northern Heat Rib Series making its way across southern Ontario.

The best ribs and BBQ in Canada are heading to town, with plenty of attractions for adults and kids.

The list of ribbers includes Kentucky Smokehouse, New York BBQ, Oak & Barrel, Louisiana BBQ, and Fire Island.

Beer enthusiasts will be happy to see the addition of some unique brews from across the province.

The one of a kind Craft Beer Market offers amber, ale, lager or something entirely different. You’ll be able to choose from Flying Monkeys, Barnstormer Brewing, Iconic Brewing, Highlander Brewing, Naughty Otter and more.

Wine and spirits lovers, not to worry — there will be something for you to throw back ,too.

If you’re into appetizers and snacks, you won’t be disappointed — options include funnel cakes, blooming onions, ice cream, poutine, burgers, sausages, deep fried treats, Jolly Rancher slushies, and fresh squeezed lemonade.

Live music will help you along your digestive stroll, alongside life-sized board games, line dancing lessons, bubble soccer, face-painting, etc.

Admission is free and so is parking.

Ribfest runs at the Georgetown Fairgrounds (1 Park Ave.) starting on Friday from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
