Registration for Burlington’s summer camps and the new Park Play Program will be opening on May 1, 2021.

All summer programs will meet health regulations to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and precautions such as lower capacities of participants and staff, physical distancing, mandatory health screening and enhanced facility cleaning will be taken.

The city’s new Park Play program will be for children and youth ages 8 to 14 years and will run from July 19 to Aug. 13, 2021.

It will include games run by city staff in Iroquois Park, Mohawk Park, Cavendish Park and Leighland Park.

Only registered participants will be permitted to participate with the group.

This year’s summer camp program will be for youth ages 4 to 16 years and will offer outdoor and physical activities, active and quiet games, arts and crafts and nature-based activities.

These camps will be inclusive for all participants and feature additional staff for a smaller camper-to-leader ratio in order to help maintain physical distancing.

All programs will have spaces for Individuals with Disabilities within each camp group.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all city-run programs will be subject to Provincial and public health regulations and could be cancelled.
