Power Outages Caused by Strong Winds in Burlington

A power outage is currently in effect due to strong weather.

The outage is affecting northern Burlington in the area of Cedar Springs from Dundas to #2 Side Road.

The outage is affecting northern Burlington in the area of Cedar Springs from Dundas to #2 Side Road.

According to Burlington Hydro, strong winds knocked over a tree, bringing down a primary power line in the area. Damage is extensive.

169 hydro customers are currently affected.

Crews are on site for repairs. Power is estimated to return at 10:00 p.m.

A smaller outage, also caused by wind, is in effect in central Aldershot and affecting 128 customers. Estimated time of repair is 8:00 p.m.

UPDATE: Another outage is affecting residents from Lakeshore to north of New Street in the Guelph Line area. The ETR is 9:00 p.m.
