Power Outage Affecting Residents in Downtown Burlington

Burlington Hydro reported around 5:20 p.m. that a power outage is currently affecting much of downtown Burlington.

Burlington Hydro reported around 5:20 p.m. that a power outage is currently affecting much of downtown Burlington.
The cause of the outage is a tree that was knocked down onto power lines, the company reports.

Crews have been dispatched and power is estimated to return at 7:00 p.m.
UPDATE:
Power has been restored for most residents, Burlington Hydro reports.
Ongoing weather conditions are hampering restoration efforts in area of GO Station on Queensway. Power is expected to return at 12:00 a.m. for the remaining residents.
