One of Ontario’s fastest-growing retailers has opened its doors in Burlington.
Farm Boy unveiled its more than 25,000 sq. ft store at 3061 Walkers Line. The company says it will carry around 120 employees.
“Fresh, wholesome foods and friendly service are the heart and soul of our business,” says Jeff York, Farm Boy co-CEO. “After opening locations in Toronto, Oakville and Hamilton, we’ve received many requests from residents of Burlington asking us to bring Farm Boy to their city. We’re thrilled to share the news today with the Burlington community and we’re excited for the opportunity to earn their lasting business.”

Along with fresh produce, Farm Boy also features butcher quality meats, artisanal cheese, and fresh dairy. The grocer also has a relatively large selection of plant-based foods, as well as sweets made from scratch.
“Farm Boy will be serving up their fresh, delicious chef-inspired meals with a hot bar, salad bar, and fast-casual restaurant experience that includes mouth-watering, gourmet pizzas, and freshly rolled sushi,” according to the company’s official media release.
The store will also include a made-to-order grilling station that will offer “restaurant-quality breakfast”, lunch and dinner with daily features.
Originating in Cornwall in 1981, Farm Boy was named one of “Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies” and operates 28 stores across Ontario.
