Police stop driver traveling at dangerous speeds in Burlington

According to Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Safety Divison, a driver was stopped this afternoon (Dec. 18) for driving at dangerous speeds.

OPP says they stopped a 23-year-old going 163km/hr on the highway, in heavy holiday traffic.

The driver has been charged accordingly, according to OPP.

Police are reminding the public to consider everyone’s safety, especially during this busy season.

Repercussions for driving over the speed limit could include a seven-day suspension and seven-day impound, along with other charges.
