Police Seeking Credit Card Thieves Following Wild Shopping Spree in Burlington

Police are searching for two suspects following an incident that took place in Oakville and Burlington.

Police are searching for two suspects following an incident that took place in Oakville and Burlington.

According to police, on April 20, 2019, two suspects went to Paradiso Restaurant located at 125 Lakeshore Rd. E. in Oakville.

Police say that a female suspect sat behind a victim who had her purse hanging off the back of her chair. 

It is alleged that the female suspect removed the victim’s wallet from her purse. 

Approximately an hour later, according to police, the same two suspects were seen at Mapleview Centre in Burlington making multiple purchases and withdrawals totaling $3,647.

The first suspect is described as being male, between the ages of 18 and 22-years-old, and 5’9”. Police say the suspect has a heavy build, long black hair that was in a ponytail, and was wearing blue jeans, a black jacket with ‘Calvin Klein Jeans’ in red decal across the upper back, black shoes with a white sole, and a black hat with a grey stripe in the middle.

The second suspect is described as being female, having a dark complexion, between the ages of 40 and 45-years-old, and 5’6”. Police say the suspect has an average build, glasses, and was wearing a blue roots sweater, a beige shawl, grey sweatpants, white shoes, a black toque, and was carrying a blue knapsack with brown straps and buckles.
