Police Seek LCBO Shoplifting Suspect in Burlington

A whisky-stealing suspect is being sought by Halton police after bottles were allegedly lifted from a Burlington liquor store.

“He exited the store with no attempt to pay for the items,” said Const. Heidi O’Neill from the district response unit which is focusing on retail crime as Halton police are cracking down on shoplifting across the region.

The incident took place at a Fairview St. LCBO on Sept. 19.

That’s when the suspect allegedly took six 1.75 L bottles of Canadian Club whisky, valued at $165 in total.

The man is white, standing 5-foot-9, weighing 180 pounds.

He was wearing a blue Puma shirt with grey sleeves, tan shorts, a ball cap, and sunglasses.
