Police investigating suspected arson following Burlington blaze

Arson is suspected in a fire that caused extensive damage to a Burlington home.

The blaze broke out just after 8 p.m. last night (Oct. 15) at the home located on Montego Cres. near Walkers Line and the QEW.

Firefighters eventually brought the situation under control after battling heavy smoke.

Damage to the home is estimated at $500,000. There were no injuries.

Halton Police were called to the same and took a man into custody. Charges are pending.

The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office has been asked to investigate.
