Oakville Montessori school principal facing child pornography charges

The principal of an Oakville Montessori school has been arrested and is facing child pornography charges.

The principal of an Oakville Montessori school has been arrested and is facing child pornography charges.

James Robert Thomposn, 58, of Oakville was arrested yesterday by Halton Police and charged with two counts of possession of child pornography as well as accessing child pornography. The charges do not pertain to incidents at the school.

Thompson is currently the principal at Willowglen Montessori located at 2690 West Oak Trails.

The Willowglen Montessori is a privately owned daycare facility operating under licensing and governance by the Ministry of Education. The Ministry has been notified and will be conducting an investigation in conjunction with the Children’s Aid Society.
