New COVID-19 cases in Halton remain steady

Halton Region is reporting 40 new cases of COVID-19 across the region today (Nov. 5).

The municipal breakdown shows 16 new cases in Milton, 14 in Oakville, eight in Burlington and two new cases in Halton Hills.

As well, these numbers indicate there are 329 active cases being treated in Halton.

The highest concentration of cases have been identified in the areas of River Oaks and North Bronte in Oakville, Central East Burlington and South Central Milton.

Halton hospitals are currently treating 13 cases of which three people are on ventilators and three are in the intensive care unit.

Across Ontario there are 998 new cases today.

Neighbouring Hamilton has 36 new cases while Mississauga and Brampton combined have 269.
