Burlington’s Nelson Pool has reopened after unforeseen operational issues caused an unexpected closure over the weekend.

In an update posted today (June 15), the city announced that Nelson Pool and Splash Park have reopened for lap swim and drop-in recreational swim.

“Great news! Thank you to City staff for working quickly to get things back up and running, and open again,” said Burlington Mayor Marianne Meed Ward on Twitter.

The pool, which is located at 4235 New Street, is 50-metres long and has eight lanes. The Splash Pad, which is located within Nelson Pool at Nelson Park, features jets, small animal spray features and a giant tipping bucket.
