McDonald’s employees at Oakville and Burlington restaurant locations test positive for COVID-19

Two employees at two separate McDonald’s restaurant locations in Oakville and Burlington have tested positive for COVID-19.

On Feb. 1, management of the establishment, located at 2510 Hampshire Gate in Oakville was informed that an employee had tested positive for the virus.

The employee’s last shift at this location was Jan. 27.

Additionally, on Feb. 1, management of the establishment, located at 689 Guelph Line in Burlington was informed that an employee had also tested positive for the virus.

The employee’s last shift at this location was Jan. 29.

According to McDonald’s’ website, restaurants are immediately shut down for a thorough cleaning and sanitization by a certified third party if an employee has tested positive or is presumed positive for COVID-19.

Any other employees who may have come into contact with this person are being instructed to quarantine until further information is available.
