Man seriously injured in early morning crash in Burlington

Halton Police report say a man was injured when an SUV left the road, travelled down an embankment and ended up in a residential backyard this morning.

Halton Police report say a man was injured when an SUV left the road, travelled down an embankment and ended up in a residential backyard this morning.

Police say the incident took place just after midnight near Dundas and Brant Sts. in Burlington.

The black SUV left the roadway at the southwest corner of the intersection before coming to rest in the backyard of a residence on Beaufort Crt.

A 21-year-old man was transported to Hamilton General Hospital and is being treated for life-threatening injuries. It took paramedics over an hour to extricate the man from the wreckage.

Halton’s Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating, and anyone who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to police is asked to call 905-825-4747 ext. 5065.
