According to Environment Canada, municipalities throughout the region are expecting temperatures beyond 30 degrees celsius, as well as thunderstorms and a 40 per cent chance of showers.

Friday (Aug. 21), it will feel like 31 degrees with the humidex. At night temps are expected to drop into the mid-teens with a 40 per cent chance of showers.

A mix of sun and cloud is in the cards Saturday with the temperature feeling like 34 degrees. There’s a 40 per cent of showers with the risk of thunderstorms.

Clouds are expected Sunday with a high of 26 and a 40 per cent chance of showers.

It’s also getting darker sooner. The sun will begin setting just after 8 p.m. this weekend.
