A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Hamilton man in connection with a series of car entries in Burlington.

Several unlocked vehicles were entered in the Seneca Ave. area on May 2 and May 3.

That’s near Lakeshore Rd. and Guelph Line.

Credit and debit cards stolen out of a vehicle at one home were later used fraudulently in Hamilton, say Halton police.

Investigators are asking the public to help them find one suspect and identify a second man.

The same suspects are allegedly responsible for more car entries in Burlington on May 18, say police.

Richard Shields, 57, is wanted.

UPDATE: After further investigation and with public assistance, police have determined Shields is not one of the persons involved. He’s not a suspect in these cases and a warrant for his arrest no longer exists.
