Halton police are looking for a suspected bike thief in Burlington.

A male suspect was at Sobeys at 1250 Brant St. at around 8 p.m. on Sept. 11.

The suspect went through an ’employees-only’ door which led to a hallway where he stole a silver Giant Escape bicycle valued at $500, say police.

The suspect was then dropped off and picked up by a particular vehicle – a silver Mazda 3 hatchback (pictured below).

He’s described as a white male with short, dark hair, approximately 5-foot-8. He was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, a black shirt with a white design on it, and dark jeans.

Anyone with information that would help identify the suspect are asked to contact Detective Constable Mark Urie of the Burlington Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4747 Ext. 2338, Crime Stoppers “See something, Hear something, Say something” at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), through the web at www.haltoncrimestoppers.ca or by texting “Tip 201” with your message to 274637 (crimes).
