A GoFundMe page has been set up to help a family with funeral expenses after their daughter tragically passed away as a result of a multi-vehicle collision in Burlington.

On Jan. 26, a collision involving four cars on the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) at Brant Street and Guelph Line, resulted in the death of two females and landed three people in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The GoFundMe page has been created for Ceara Publuske, a 23-year-old female who passed away after the tragic crash.

Set up by Publuske’s cousin, the page was created to assist the family with funeral expenses.

“I am starting this fundraiser for my aunt Cyndi Peacock-Publuske and uncle, Travis Publuske; the parents of my beautiful cousin Ceara, to help them with any costs for the funeral that is to be arranged,” stated the GoFundMe page.

“She was a happy-go-lucky kind of girl, always smiling and was always quick with the witty jokes. She loved the ones around her to her fullest capacity. No one ever plans for this.”

The donation page has since raised over $7,000.
