Metrolinx recently announced that beginning in the new year, weekend transit riders going to and from Niagara Falls will need to catch a GO bus as opposed to a train for the remainder of the winter season.

According to Metrolinx, GO customers can use the existing Route 12 GO buses, which run hourly in both directions and connect with Lakeshore West trains at Burlington GO Station.

Services are being changed for the winter season to match customer demand and use resources more efficiently. Weekend GO train service will likely resume in the spring.

Customers with mobility concerns should note the elevators at Burlington GO will be out of service until early 2021, while Metrolinx replaces the elevators at that station.

Transit riders are reminded that face coverings are mandatory on GO Transit.
