Four dead in COVID-19 cases recorded at retirment homes in Burlington and Oakville

Halton Public Health is currently dealing with coronavirus outbreaks at two retirement homes which have claimed the lives of four people.

The Village of Tansley Woods at 4100 Upper Middle Rd. in Burlington is currently dealing with 38 cases involving 26 residents. Twelve other cases involving staff and others at the retirement home have also been recorded since the beginning of the outbreak on October 3. Three residents have died. The adjacent long-term care home at Tansley Woods has reported four infections among staff members.

In Oakville, Chartwell Waterford Retirement Home at 2160 Baronwood Dr. has record 10 cases of COVID-19 among residents which has led to one death. There are 10 other cases that have been linked to Chartwell Waterford.
