Federal Offender Who Frequents Burlington Wanted by Police

A federal offender who is known to frequent Burlington is wanted by the OPP.

A federal offender who is known to frequent Burlington is wanted by the OPP.

According to the OPP, the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a federal offender who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant as a result of a breach of his statutory release.  

According to the government of Canada website, “The law requires that federal offenders who have served two-thirds of a fixed-length sentence be released from prison under supervision at that point.”

This is referred to as statutory release.

According to the OPP, Billy Shea is described as a Caucasian male, who is 27-years-old, 6’2”, and 150 lbs.

The OPP says Shea has brown shaved hair, blue eyes, and tattoos on both arms.  

According to OPP, the offender is serving a five year, one month and seven day sentence for multiple counts of robbery, and motor vehicle theft.  

In addition to Burlington, the offender is known to frequent the cities of Hamilton, and Stoney Creek, and the Niagara Region.
