Music fans are not happy following the cancellation of Finger Eleven’s performance at the Burlington Sound of Music Festival.

Although the band was set to hit to the stage at 5:30 p.m, event organizers took to Twitter closer to 6:00 p.m. to inform audiences that the set was cancelled due to the ominous and stormy skies.

Although safety does come first, fans and attendees were not happy.

Some audience members chided festival organizers for making the announcement too late (a full 20 minutes after the set was scheduled to begin).

Others, including Twitter user I’s The B’y, said the weather wasn’t even that inclement,

“You realize the rain stopped before they were to perform,” he wrote. “That is pretty sad and really not cool. Lackluster ending to a lackluster weekend.”

Others agreed that safety is key, but some posters got angry with the band itself.

The band has yet to respond on Twitter.

Here’s hoping for less stormy skies next year.
