Construction project in Burlington and Oakville set to begin soon

Halton Region is inviting residents and businesses to attend a Public Information Centre (PIC) on the upcoming improvements to Dundas Street from Appleby Line to Bronte Road, Wards 5 and 6, the City of Burlington and Oakville, Wards 1 and 7.

The improvements will aim to accommodate future growth and travel demand through Burlington and Oakville with construction anticipated to begin in spring 2021.

Additionally, it will provide safe travel options for motorists, pedestrians and cyclists.

Some improvements include the widening from four to six lanes, road resurfacing, new multi-use paths, sidewalks and on-road bike lanes, new bus stops and shelters, new traffic signals and street lights, new bridges and upgraded stormwater infrastructure and environmental protection measures.

Between Feb. 11 and 25, a Public Information Centre (PIC) is being held for residents and businesses interested in the project.
