On Tuesday, October 2, Loblaw Companies Limited recalled certain $10 Chicken Fries from stores due to possible Salmonella contamination.
The product’s packaging lists a weight of 1.81 kg and an expiration date that reads: 2019 JN 22.
The recall was triggered by findings by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) during its investigation into a foodborne illness outbreak.

The CFIA reminds residents that food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Symptoms may include fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea.
Consumers are advised to throw out or return the product, and consult a doctor if they believe they became sick from eating a recalled product.
