In celebration of National Indigenous History Month, Brant Street Pier in Burlington will be lit with special colours this week.

From now until June 21, Brant Street Pier will be lit black, red, white and blue from 8:30 p.m. to midnight for the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.

Throughout the month of June, National Indigenous History Month is celebrated to honour the history, heritage and diversity of Indigenous peoples in Canada.

Additionally, it is an opportunity to acknowledge the contributions First Nations, Inuit and Métis people have made in Canada along with recognizing present-day Indigenous communities and their strength.
